Goal

Kardish’s goal was to achieve effective digital advertising and social media marketing results at a fraction of the price of a full-time marketing manager.

Background

Kardish is a chain of natural health food stores with 7 locations in Ottawa, Ontario. Kardish has experimented with multiple marketing models, including hiring full-time senior and junior marketing staff, as well as engaging consultants. Kardish found that full-time staff rarely had expertise in all the areas they needed, such as social media, content writing, graphic design, email campaigns, PR, and digital marketing. In comparison, consultants were skilled but became expensive over time. Strategy

First, Third Door and Kardish held a series of discovery meetings to determine the ongoing marketing activities needed. We scheduled weekly, monthly, and quarterly brainstorming meetings to ensure success over time.

Second, we established what success would look like for Kardish. The primary goal was to improve customer engagement through email marketing and social media. The secondary goal was to experiment with new marketing initiatives.
